Artist of the month

BeldArt.
Art with a third dimension.

Behind BeldArt Official is Dutch artist Steven van den Beld. After moving to Amsterdam in 2018, he found inspiration in its streets, cultures and architecture. Everyday objects became the starting point for a distinctive artistic language.

Fire extinguishers, skateboards, spray cans and surfboards take on a new role in his work. Paint, mixed materials and layers of epoxy turn familiar objects into striking pieces with depth and presence. Each work is made by hand.

Street posters also find their way into his art. Their worn edges and accumulated layers carry traces of city life. Steven brings those traces into his compositions: urban energy, captured in a lasting object.
